Dr. Post's Why, When, & How - The History
Dr. Post was first introduced to low-level (or cold) laser therapy while attending Logan College of Chiropractic located in Chesterfield, MO. It was during my last year of study that I saw an box with a coiled cord that came out of the top which was attached to an application head. I observed it used briefly a couple of times but that was it. I reached the end of my studies, graduated and located a position in an office in Rochester, MN. Here my understanding of laser therapy became much broader.
After collecting feedback and data from clinical trials in south-eastern Minnesota we are moving forward to transforming our prototype into a final version over the next few months. We are excited about getting our innovative prescription based low-level laser therapy device into your hands as soon a possible. Stay tuned!
We're proud to have finished our application for this year's MN Cup competition. MN Cup is, by far, the largest statewide startup competition in the USA. It isn't just a competition for startup businesses, but helps connect Minnesota's entrepreneurial ecosystem aiming to grow Minnesota's innovation footprint and create jobs.
Today we began using the prescription-based low-level laser therapy device with patients in real-world conditions. It's being implemented in chiropractic offices in south-eastern Minnesota such as Zumbrota Chiropractic. This is an important step in identifying any needed design changes as well as identify any bugs in the system.
Plus, why it is so effective
Low level laser therapy, also called cold laser therapy, is about producing a healing effect in the cells and structures of the body. Unlike other therapies which mask or cover up the condition, laser light is influencing your body to speed up and strengthen the healing process. The effect of laser therapy is not just temporary relief, it is cumulative over time, so the more treatments you have, the stronger and more permanent the effect.
Because laser light interacts with the cells and a natural healing process is generated, the results are quite long lasting. In many cases, the problem may be resolved permanently.
